HenleyAir.tv provides live views of helicopter operations at Henley Air, located at Rand Airport (FAGM). Our three webcams—WestCam, NorthCam and HangarCam—offer a unique perspective of daily flight training, charter operations, maintenance activities and hangar operations.
All cameras operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, South African Standard Time (SAST). Images refresh automatically every 60 seconds.
The HenleyCams were first installed in 2006 and have been providing daily views of helicopter activities at Rand Airport (FAGM) for more than 20 years.
The idea for the HenleyCams originated with one of our students, who enjoyed their Private Pilot Licence (PPL) training so much that they wanted a way to stay connected to daily activity at Henley Air, even when they were not flying.
Over the years, the webcams have become a favourite feature among students, pilots and aviation enthusiasts alike. We regularly hear from former students and pilots now working throughout the global helicopter industry who still check in to see what is happening back at Henley Air. For many, the cameras provide a connection to their training days and an opportunity to keep up with familiar faces, aircraft and daily operations.
The webcams also serve as a valuable operational tool, allowing pilots and staff to monitor local weather and airfield conditions in real time, supporting safer and more informed flight planning.
WestCam was the first camera installed and originally consisted of a small USB webcam connected to a dedicated Windows PC operating around the clock.
Located on Hangar 6 and facing west towards the Silver Ball in the distance, WestCam overlooks our busiest helipads, where the majority of training and charter flights begin and end each day.
NorthCam was the second camera added to the network and faces north-west towards the Linksfield Ridge.
This view covers the Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) helipads in front of Hangar 7, as well as the maintenance helipads located in front of Hangar 8, providing a clear view of both operational and maintenance activities.
HangarCam was the third camera installed and is positioned in the north-west corner of Hangar 6.
From this vantage point, viewers can observe a wide variety of helicopters, ranging from the compact Robinson R22 through to larger aircraft such as the Bell 222UT and Bell 230. HangarCam offers a unique behind-the-scenes view of the aircraft and activities that take place within our main hangar.
Whether you are a current student, former pilot, aviation enthusiast or simply curious about helicopter operations, we hope you enjoy the unique perspective that HenleyAir.tv provides.
Thank you for visiting, and we look forward to sharing the daily activity of Henley Air with you—wherever you are in the world, and now directly from your mobile device.
